In the 2015-2016 school year, our District received very prestigious honors. Bridgeport Elementary School has been honored as a State School of Character and a National School of Character! Chittenango High School for two years in a row has received the Silver Medal best high schools in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. These awards are attributed to a team effort by faculty and staff involved in the education programs for Chittenango students.
The Chittenango Central School District is located twelve miles east of Syracuse, New York. Chittenango Central Schools has an enrollment of approximately 1,920 students with an average class size of twenty students per class. The District is composed of four separate buildings: Bridgeport Elementary School, Bolivar Road Elementary School, Chittenango Middle School and Chittenango High School. Bridgeport Elementary School is located on Bridgeport-Kirkville Road in Bridgeport, New York near Oneida Lake. Bridgeport is a kindergarten through fourth grade building totaling approximately 225 students. Bolivar Road Elementary School is located just outside the Village of Chittenango on Bolivar Road. Bolivar Road Elementary is a kindergarten through fourth grade building totaling approximately 453 students. Chittenango Middle School is located on Fyler Road in North Chittenango. Chittenango Middle School is a fifth through eighth grade building totaling approximately 625 students. Chittenango High School is located in the Village of Chittenango on Genesee Street. Chittenango High School is a ninth through twelfth grade building totaling approximately 611 students.
The District has state of the art facilities and technology as well as dedicated and caring instructional and support staff personnel who take pride in doing what is best for Chittenango students. Our common goal is to prepare our students for college and career readiness as we focus on 21st Century Teaching and Learning.
