PARP - Read S'More at Camp Read-A-Lot

Pick a Reading Partner, also known as PARP, took place at Bridgeport Elementary School this past January.  Our theme this year was read s’more at  Camp Read-A-Lot.  Our students read over 2500 books with partners throughout the three week program.  Great job Bridgeport Elementary students.   Along with a ton of reading, students enjoyed a visit from author Gary VanRiper who wrote the Adirondack Kids series.  Jim McCarthy also joined us for our camp fire opening and our family fun night where he sang about the importance of reading and how reading enriches our lives.  In addition, many parents, grandparents, and community members visited our school to read with our students.  Our campers at Camp Read-A-Lot truly enjoyed our PARP program as they read s’more books throughout the month.
