Bridgeport Fire Department Visits Bridgeport Elementary School! On October 14 many members of the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department spent the morning speaking with our students about fire safety and the importance of having working smoke detectors in their homes. They also brought their fire gear and demonstrated to our students what a fireman looks like when they come in for a rescue so students would know what to expect and not be afraid if they ever needed to be rescued. Our students had a great time and learned some valuable lessons about fire safety and rescue. All of our students also received a fire-persons hat and a coloring packet on fire safety. |
