Table Tennis Madness

Seventh and eighth grade students have been working on their table tennis skills during their physical education classes. The unit begins with learning basic hitting strokes including the forehand, backhand, and proper serving technique. Students practiced these skills by participating in warm-up skill drills and group games. The unit concludes with the classes having fun playing in competitive singles and doubles tournaments. Winners from each class were invited to play in an after-school tournament to compete against the winning teams from the other classes. This years 2019 Table Tennis champion was 7th grader Colin Smyth (Pictured below). Congratulations to all participants for their competitive play and good sportsmanship.
