An important member of the Counseling Program is our ADAPEP Counselor, Lisa Murray. Her primary focus is on the provision of alcohol and drug prevention, education and counseling services. "The Alcohol-Drug Abuse Prevention Education Program provides research based information, skill building, support and growth opportunities to encourage individuals to adopt health-enhancing alternatives to substance abuse."
ADA-PEP is committed to working with the school/home/community to assist individuals in reaching their potential as productive and contributing members of society.
There is a variety of services Mrs. Murray offers for students includng but not limited to:
* Individual Support Counseling
* Classroom lessons (utilizing Research Based Materials)
* Parent, Teacher and Administration Consultations
* Linkage with Community Programs and Activities
* Referral to Outside Agencies
Mrs. Murray is Coordinator for SADD ( Students Against Destructive Decisions), this program performs a variety of awareness raising activities throughout the school year. Mrs. Murray is also the Co-Coordinator for the FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club.
