Chittenango High School Drama Club presents “How the Other Half Dies”
The Chittenango High School Drama Club is proud to present the comedy “How the Other Half Dies” by Eddie MacPherson on November 17, 18, and 19, 2022, at 7 pm.
This play centers on the socialite Sybil Chasteen (Lillian Baker), who needs to host a party to impress the well-to-do Harriet Hammer (Kassaundra LaMay), so she will accept her into her prestigious country club. Much to Sybil’s dismay, she discovered a dead body in the trunk of her new car! Naturally, she brings it into the house. Two detectives are called to her residence (Brandon Grenier as Officer Knight and Keagan Terry as Officer Newbie) to help solve the crime. With the help of her best friends April May (Amélie Rohlin), Cora (Madalyn Douglas), and Fannie (Allison Batoszek), she begins preparation amid the murder investigation. A host of other characters interfere, including a Jack the Ripper copycat (Thomas Torosian) chasing his exhausted victim (Edith Serviss), A mysterious caller (Will MacAlpine), and an eccentric local superhero (well, in his own mind) Captain Dimples (Aiden Grenier). The show also stars the talents of Alex Hubbs as the drummer, Francesca Bova as the bereaved neighbor, Tessa Goettel, Quinn Freedman, and Ana Barboussat as wedding guests, the deceased’s girlfriend played by Reese Toombs, the not-so-helpful therapist Gabby Feak, Abby Hoover as the Doc, with Ashleigh Schermerhorn and Isabelle LaPointe chiming in throughout.
All tickets can be purchased at www.ShowTix4U.com. Tickets are $10 per reserved seating ticket, and there will also be a special live stream on Friday, November 18, for $12. Don’t miss your chance to laugh along with these hilarious characters as they discover the identity of the murderer!
