Monday, September 26th an A DAY

On Tuesday, September 27th during 10th period come out to the Library and explore and talk with club advisors during the annual club fair.  This is a great way to see and hear about many of the clubs the high school has to offer.  Cookies and water will be available.

Attention all students interested in attending theater performances at Syracuse Stage this year:  This Wednesday is the first performance at Syracuse Stage.  To attend, you must see Mrs. Coller in room 2013 and get registered TODAY.  Be prepared with permission slips, payment, and any questions you may have about Syracuse Stage. Any student is eligible.

It's ba-ack!
The annual Writer's Chair Contest is here!  The contest is open to all students.  Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in the categories of short story, poetry, and a combined poetry and art category.  The deadline for entries is November 10th at 3 PM.  Please visit the library's website or see Mrs. Klucznik or Mr. Sylstra for more details.  Give it a shot, and you may have your name immortalized on the plaque in the library.  Let's write bears!!

Counseling Center:

A representative from the following colleges will be here this week:
Tuesday September 2th at noon- SUNY Canton
Friday September 30th St. Bonaventure at 8:30, Keuka College at 9:00 and Utica University at 1:30.  Stop in the counseling center and see Ms. VanDusen or Ms. Merithew for a pre-signed pass.


The Varsity Football team was beaten by Homer 49-35.  The team kept fighting and playing well defensively by Quentin Mohamed, Kyle Werhlin, Brad Hilts, Shamus Eiffe and Dan Smith.  Offensively Jack Lamphere threw four touchdown passes, 2 to Zailor Caras, one to Trevor Cole and one to Cole Rech.  He also ran the ball in for a score.  Chase Brummer was 5 for 5 on kicking extra points.  The team will travel to Cortland this Friday.

This weekend the girls cross-country team raced in the 70th annual Baldwinsville Invitational where they placed 4th out of 18 teams in the small school division.  The Bears were again led by Laura Powers in 32nd and Baillee Burton in 34th.  Then the DiGennaro sisters, Sophia and Natalie came in near each other in 37th and 43rd.  The final scorer was Junior Evelyn Wynkoop's 51st place.  Nice job this weekend Bears!
