ZOOM 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course
Required to Get a NYS Driver's License?

This Class is open to anyone who has a NYS Learners Permit regardless of age. This includes 16 and 17 year olds.

You can make a Road Test appointment online on the same day that you finish this class.  You can check the DMV website for availability for appointments. ?

NYS DMV has authorized the 5 Hour Pre-licensing class to be taught online using Distance Learning.  We will be offering this class using Zoom.  One of our most popular offerings, we recommend signing up for this course as early as possible as it tends to fill up quickly.

Bishop Grimes High School Distance Learning Driver Education 

The course consists of Zoom classroom instruction and in-car instruction. Students have two 90 minute sessions of Distance Learning classroom instruction per week. These sessions are live, not recorded, and students need to participate in them live. Student must be 16 by October 25, 2022. 

Parents/Guardians provide the in-car instruction. Bishop Grimes provides the parent/guardian with specific and detailed information regarding the in-vehicle instruction. observation, and applied practice that the parent/guardian will deliver. The course is approved by the New York State Education Department. Successful completion will entitle the student to receive a MV 285 (formerly known as a "blue card") and an insurance reduction certificate.

Manlius Pebble Hill Driver Education

Registration has been extended while space is available

Driver Education is approved by the New York State Education Department and is open to all New York State residents. The course began September 12th and is offered online through Google Classroom with a combination of pre-recorded chapter reviews and posted assignments and quizzes to be completed each week. Students must be 16 by September 12th and possess a valid driving permit. 

Fee is $375.00
